Components icons get messed up (all black icons)

Try a different graphic card or at least a different video mode.
It certainly is a graphic driver problem. 2 friends of mine reported the same after purchasing a new graphics card.

You could also try changing your driver settings by reducing the hardware acceleration. Open the control panel and go to Display Properties->Settings->Advanced
In one of the last pages of the dialog window there should be a slider for the hardware acceleration. Try to move that slider few steps down.
