I feel it is wrong that my cell phone Number was given out to solicitors. I have my cell phone for emergencies and for my family member to call when they need to get a hold of me. When the solicitor calls on a persons cell phone they are using up minutes and a costing the cell phone holder money weather the call is answered or not. I work different hours of the day and night and when I'm trying to sleep and have solicitors call me constantly on my cell phone I get very angry.
I was very angry when I received two calls from solicitors one informing me that I had ask for information on bill consolidation online and they are calling me back. I informed them that I never visited there site and that I had file Chapter 7 bankruptcy over a year ago and have no bills to consolidate and I did not need their services. This really infuritated me since I was at work during that time, and I felt as if my privacy and personel space was being intruded. The second call was from a credit card company area code (727) wanting to offer me credit. When I first receive my personnel cell phone I thought I'd finally get some privacy and not be disrupted every day by someone trying to sell me something that I don't want and jumping up to answer the phone every hour. I never answer my home phone anymore I let my machine do that for me because 90% of call coming into my home phone are solicitors and when you answer those calls you either get a recorded message or you can't get a word in to let them know your not interested. One time when I had paid to have a blocks put on all call from solictors, the Solictors would wait for the whole message which states if your a solictors to hang up now to get done and still get through your home phone to bug you at the most inconvenient times. One solictor even stated how convenience of me to have the phone compancy put such a message to block solictor and that it really doesn't work. He was being very rude and mocking the system, than he proceeded to try and sell me something.
Whom ever passed the law for telemarketers to have a have access to my cell phone number should be sued or they could give me there number and while I'm at work on the graveyard shift I could call them every hour on the hour to wake them up in order to sell them something that they don't want. This way they could see how it feels to have there personnel space privacy and right to the enjoyment of life and sleep evaded upon.
I know there is more than just me out there whom had these types of problems.

There are lots of ways to 'fix' the problum of tellemarketers but the only true place is www.donotcall.gov. if you sign up and they still call you you have the right to seuw for millions for invasion of space. Just try it, Tell me if it worked for you.

donotcall.gov did not work for me. I still get calls from solicitors on my cell phone and my home phone. Complaints to both the federal and state do not call registries have not resolved anything. It may have slowed some of them down, but has not ended the problem.

Tell them you are busy and that ask them if you can call them back on their home phone number later.
